Sean Casey, Director

Coach Sean Casey -- a teacher, social worker, university administrator, member of the Maine Principal’s Association, and former University and Pro Level Coach -- has 35 years of experience in basketball, and 11 consecutive University Conference Championships to his credit! Coach Casey’s basketball career, from high school star to college player with Acadia University in Nova Scotia and then to coach in the world famous Southern California Pro League, makes him eminently qualified to conduct development clinics for all ages. Coach Casey in the past has conducted camps internationally in North America, Europe and the West Indies. He is currently part of the Olympic Solidarity movement where he serves as a recognized expert clinician by FIBA. "Coach Casey" has just completed this past year as  Headmaster of a school in Shenzhen, China near Hong Kong

Iain Dunlop, Co-Director

Coach Iain Dunlop is one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable coaches ever to represent high school basketball in New Brunswick. He was named NBIAA Coach of the Year in 1994 and Basketball New Brunswick Coach of the Year in 1998. He has 41 years of coaching experience, has coached Provincial Championship Teams and is currently on the Coaching Staff of Carleton North High School. He has consistently produced winning teams. His ability to see the players as individuals, and his personal interest in them as all-round students and team players, makes him the kind of coach all players need as they develop.” ~ Former basketball colleague & parent.

Assistant Coaches

Coach Kris Gallagher (former Carleton North Star and Southern Victoria Viking standout): Has helped solidify the Viking basketball program and return Southern Victoria to a very competitive status. Coach Gallagher has a very good rapport with young basketballers and is a great teacher of all aspects of rebounding.

Coach Ryan Daye (head coach, varsity boys basketball at Fundy High School): Has turned Fundy Mariners Basketball into an up-and-coming program by developing solid fundamentals teaching at all age levels in the St. George area. Coach Ryan and Coach Kris are two of the brightest young coaches in New Brunswick.

Coach Gerald Sullivan (former player at UNB): A long-time middle school coach in the valley, Coach Sullivan joined our staff two years ago and has proved to be a tremendous addition. Coach Sullivan brings a keen awareness of the basics of the game and esprit de corps.

Coach Steve Shaw , acknowledged by many as one of the truly great coaches of the last 30 years in the State of Maine will return for special “ shooting sessions “ between 6:00 and 7:30 daily followed by “ International Shootouts “. Coach Shaw was inducted into the Maine Legends Basketball Hall of Honors in October 2007 at Waterville , Maine . What a tremendous achievement . We are elated to have him on our staff teaching players how to shoot the ball properly.

Coach Darrell Turnbull has coached over 20 years and is well known for his attention and discipline to correctness of the basic skills of the Game He has led his chargers to many provincial championships and his teams always aimed to be at the Aitken Centre. Coach Darrell joined Coach Dana last year and helped round out our top-notch staff to where it compares to any camp staff anywhere.

Coach Jon Brain: We welcome Coach Brain. He has long been an institution in the coaching fraternity. For the last 35 years , the Southern Victoria Vikings Program has been led by this man in both boys and girls play. He has also coached New Brunswick teams in National play for several years and is very active with Basketball Canada.

Coach David Daye: David Daye is one of the most respected coaches in New  Brunswick today.He has coached many teams to provincial championships and has coached boys and girls teams at every level. He is a superb teacher of footwork , rhythm ,agility, as well a the basic fundamentals of the game . We are most pleased to have him at camp. The children really enjoy him.
